Using social media for affiliate marketing is a really effective technique because affiliate marketing is all about promoting a product. What better way to promote a product than where there are a lot of people in one place.

That is the beauty of social media as it can really help get that free traffic onto your content that you are trying to promote and even make you sales.

Using social media as a form of posting your affiliate links has become far too common nowadays and you will find people spamming their affiliate links everywhere trying to get more traffic and hopefully get more sales. But this isn’t the way to go when you are posting your links on social medias because people nowadays feel too sketchy when they see an affiliate link.

They don’t believe that you have any intent of helping them but instead are wondering whether you are trying to pull one over them and just take advantage of them.

So I am going to be talking about some effective ways in which you should be promoting your affiliate products in social media.

1. Post Quality Contents before promoting

If you really want to be promoting something on social medias. The first thing you have to do is make to sure that your audience trusts you first. That can only be done when the people see you posting really helpful content for them which provides real value to them.

When the people trust you enough then they will start to see some of the things that you are recommending as well and this is when you start doing promotions after you have got an engaged audience who are ready to hear you out. So you have got to show your expertise before you can convince people to buy something.

 

2. Don’t post affiliate links on every post

If you keep spamming your affiliate links on every post that you make. This will make you seem really fishy and people may not like it when you are constantly trying to promote something to them or convince them to buy something. Even after you have built out your audience. You should make sure that you are not spamming your affiliate links on all the posts that you write.

You should try and focus on giving something of real value to your audience every once in a while without promoting anything. This will make your audience trust you more and really engage them in your content because you truly are providing something of value to the community.

 

3. Create affiliate redirected links

Most of the times when people see affiliate links, they don’t really want to click on it as it can really make people that it won’t provide any incentive for them if they click on your affiliate links. So people tend to not click on affiliate links when they are plainly visible.

This is one of the main reasons why most of the people have redirected links that doesn’t look like an affiliate link but redirects to the affiliate site with your link. This is what most people do nowadays and I don’t see as to why you shouldn’t be doing this as it can help get more click through rates. Some of the sites to use are:

4. Integrating Photos and Videos

When people just see a flat out description of whatever affiliate product that you are trying to promote, they tend to lose interest.

So, the first thing you have to focus on is actually showing them something visually appealing that will really make them want to check out your links and so a powerful visualization can be something that works much better than a long well written description.

 

5. Running paid search

Lastly I would like to discuss about how you can powerfully utilize paid ads on some of the most popular sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You want to be running your ads on these places as this is where most of the people are engaged online. Thus giving you a higher chance of people clicking on your ads.

You can run Instagram page ads through Google Adwords as it is the best way to track upon your conversions and budget and execute your keyword research properly. The way ads works is when people search for the specific keyword you are targeting. Your site will popup at the top of the result showing a sponsored link which can really make sure that people click on your link.

Thus,  you get more traffic from when being sponsored at the top of the search page.
